Looking to collaborate:
My book: 'To Be or Not To Be - A Yoof-speak Guide to Shakespeare' has now been added to Waterstone's core catalogue and will shortly be available in Waterstone's stores nationwide. To find out more about the book please go to: www.yoofspeak.net But as for other writing, well, the nearest I got to having anything produced was a sketch show with a production company of some note. Although initially it looked promising and was asked to write a pilot unfortunately, if not kind of predictably, it failed to go the distance. However, in addition to a couple of credits for Huddlines and... Gordon Smith

To date I've written a draft flatshare sitcom, I did this as an exercise so I'd get my finger out and start writing. Influences include anything from Peep Show, Spaced, Partridge, DayToday, Brasseye, Darkplace, Mighty Boosh, Vic and Bob, Big Train, Seinfeld etc etc I am currently based in the Manchester area and enjoy beers, gigging, going to clubs, cosy nights in, talking about everything and nothing, I... I’ve been writing now for about a year. Ever since I was young the comedy bug bit me. I’ve always made people around me laugh. At heart I enjoy writing sketches the most and have sent a few of them out here and there. I've also entered comps on 4laughs a comedy "outlet" for people like myself and I have won and placed in many various competitions. I found it allowed me to experiment with many different forms of comedy including: audio, visual and script-based writing. (But I've recently slowed down due to more important projects and working life) I'm expanding more and more into Stand... The Slagg Brothers

I am a student of History and Politics but have considered myself a writer for some time be it comedy or otherwise. For many years I have been absorbing the real-life comedy around me, something I'm sure we have all experienced. Only recently have I started putting pen to paper, so to speak. I had sent a sitcom off to the BBC writers room and it was sent back but I haven't given up just yet as I am now turing to other production companies. I'm also working on a number of animated short pieces which I intend to put on the net at some point. |
