Writers Directory Profile:
Journalist by day. Aspiring sitcom writer by night (and weekend). Influences include Seinfeld (best sitcom ever written), The Simpsons, I'm Alan Partidge, Only Fools & Horses, Arrested Development, Hancock's Half Hour and Dad's Army. In terms of current comedy, I tend to prefer US shows to their UK counterparts (current favourites are It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, My Name is Earl and Curb Your Enthusiasm) and my aim is to get a series on air utilising the best features of US comedy but with a distinctly British feel.

I've written five sitcom scripts and several sketches and I had some interest last year from a production company (who said that my work had a lot of potential) as well as plenty of positive feedback from other companies during 2006 and a recent breakthrough that I'm hoping will lead to a commission.

I'm on MySpace if anyone wants to swap links (so to speak).
