Profile:
Hi, I'm Mark, the Founder and Editor of The British Comedy Guide (or British Sitcom Guide as it used be known).
I've been running this website as a hobby since the early 2000s. My day job is as a freelance website developer. I'm in my mid-20s and live in Hampshire.
Obviously I'm a bit of a comedy geek, but I do have other interests: I also love motor racing, mountain biking and squash.
My favourite British comedy is Fawlty Towers - this is the programme that introduced me to British comedy at a young age and eventually inspired me to setup this website. Nothing has ever made me laugh as hard as watching the antics in that hotel.
I've got just so many other favourites I can't list them all here. But here are a few (in alphabetical order): A Bit Of Fry & Laurie; The Armstrong & Miller Show; Blackadder; Bleak Expectations; Brass Eye; Cabin Pressure; Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe; Count Arthur Strong's Radio Show!; Double Science; Drop The Dead Donkey; Early Doors; Garth Marenghi's Darkplace; Green Wing; Have I Got News For You; Hut 33; Ideal; I'm Alan Partridge; Joking Apart; Lead Balloon; Mock The Week; Monty Python's Flying Circus; That Mitchell And Webb Look/Sound; The Morecambe & Wise Show; Not Going Out; The Now Show; One Foot In The Grave; The Office; Outnumbered; Peep Show; Porridge; Teachers; The Thin Blue Line; Trigger Happy TV; The Smoking Room; The Worst Week Of My Life
