Hello, I am a songwriter/musician; comedy sketch writer/performer. I have a draft sitcom/dramedy on the go and some songs for a musical comedy. I have written about 200 songs altogether (and forgotten another 800..) and about 100 comedy sketches - most of which still need to be forgotten (working on it).
I have never made much effort to be a commercial success in either music or comedy, having a healthy disdain for the way both industries tend to operate, but when I did try, I did detect a "raised eye-brow" once...
