SERIES 2 - First broadcast 2002

1. On the Blob

On the Blob Donna thinks she's pregnant and Gaz, scared out his wits at the prospect of becoming a father, runs through the streets of Runcorn in his pants. Following some (for-once) useful advice from her mum, Donna realises she is not up the duff. But Gaz has adjusted to the idea of being a father, even looking favourably on the chance to be as stable and responsible as Patrick Duffy. Janet tells him that even though he won't be a father; he can still be a 'responsible adult manly man' by having a 'loving adult relationship' with Donna. Inspiration strikes and Gaz invites Donna out on a proper date. Donna is thrilled until she finds herself drinking a can of brew in the promised fine drinking establishment - Gaz's garage. Meanwhile, Louise exercises her psychic powers and, following the spirits' career advice, Jonny undertakes a new career involving a black leotard….

Bungle Jonny wins some money on a scratch card and everyone has their own ideas about how he should spend the money. Gaz wants Jonny to take him on holiday while Janet expects an engagement ring. She throws a dinner party to celebrate the occasion and to help Gaz and Donna get to know each other better - they're not having much luck in the conversation department. Louise brings her new, posh boyfriend James to the dinner. James is desperate to get into her pants, but Louise is shocked when James reveals he is a virgin and not the 'sex monster' she had bragged about. The party is ruined when James asks Jonny when he's going ask Janet to marry him, so he and Louise can go back to his place and 'enjoy him'. Turns out Jonny has no plans to buy an engagement ring, he has other plans for the money...

3. Dirty Girls

Dirty Girls Jonny discovers that Janet has been keeping an old love letter from her ex, Andy. Janet convinces him it's just a bit of nostalgia from her childhood. Jonny's jealousy is eased until he discovers Janet's bumped into 'phwoar Andy' down the pub. Flo asks Donna to move out so that she can turn her bedroom into an exclusive, men-only massage parlour. Janet invites Donna to stay with her and Jonny for a little while. Louise is worried she might be gay as she doesn't get any 'va va voom' with James. To find out the truth about her sexuality, she gives Donna and Janet fifty quid to snog her. The Andy problem is solved when Janet introduces Andy to Jonny. Andy turns out to be small, skinny and pale. Jonny is relieved and to show how much he trusts Janet, insists that Janet and Donna spend some time alone with Andy. Wonder how he'd feel if he knew that 'phwoar Andy' was really Colin from the chemist?

First broadcast: 29th April 2002

Louise buys a puppy with the last of her fag money and sets about proving she's a conscientious dog owner. Doggy torture follows as she dresses the pup in outfits that match her own. The pup is released from its torment when it gets run over by a lorry. Flo is overjoyed when she finds Donna at home, thinking her daughter has returned to her 'wonderfully pert bosom'. Turns out Donna had just forgotten that she'd left home. Gaz finally summons up the courage to ask Donna to move in with him. Meanwhile Janet runs into her old flame Andy and lands up snogging him. 5. Crusty Curtains

Crusty Curtains Donna moves in with Gaz and they decide to each write a 'list of demands' that they can compromise on. Donna's list is short and reasonable. Gaz's, however, is pages long and includes having her speaking in a Japanese accent on a Wednesday and referring to him at all times as 'Grand Master Ramrod'. Jonny isn't speaking to Janet, despite Janet's pleas that her snog with Andy didn't mean anything - he didn't even feel her bum. Somehow this fails to console Jonny. Louise is upset that Jonny and Janet might split up. Her attempts at reconciliation give Gaz a cunning idea. Gaz reckons Jonny should take advantage of Janet's guilt by getting her to do anything he wants. At first Janet is obliging, running Jonny's bath and agreeing to cook his favourite meal. But Jonny pushes Janet too far and she runs away... to Gaz's.

First broadcast: 13th May 2002

Louise convinces her that Jonny must be dead. Gaz goes round to Flo's, thinking he'll find Donna there. Flo, in cahoots with Donna, convinces Gaz that his insensitive remarks have sent Donna round the bend and she must be dead. Janet and Gaz go down the boys' pub hoping Jonny and Donna will turn up. Louise thinks that astrology is the answer to everyone's problems. She tells them that according to the stars both couples will split up.
