SERIES 1 - First broadcast 2001

1. Fags, Shags and Kebabs

Fags, Shags and Kebabs Jonny lives with girlfriend Janet. Donna (Janet's mate) needs a boyfriend so her mother Flo won't think she's gay. Donna asks Janet to get her a date with Gaz, Jonny's best mate but neither one of the boys are happy. But when Gaz thinks he's on course for a shag he agrees to go on a double date. Louise needs a job so she can buy fags so applies for a barmaid job at the girl's local, The Mayhew.

2. Spunk

Spunk Following a group weigh-in with the girls, Louise discovers she has put on three pounds so vows to lose them. But she loses it too fast and ends up with stretch marks. On Gaz's advice Jonny decides to become a bastard so Janet will appreciate him more. But he ends up in hospital. Gaz is scared of being in a relationship until Donna convinces him she just wants sex, sex and more sex; this is just as Flo phones up to invite him to a family dinner!

3. Bone with the Wind

Bone with the Wind Flo wants Donna to move out but she's staying put. Gaz becomes worried when he thinks Donna's merging into is flat. Janet thinks that Jonny doesn't fancy her while Jonny thinks she's having an affair. When Janet prepares an evening of passion for Jonny he thinks its for someone else but is pleased to hear it is all for him. Louise fancies her friend Kev but there's one problem - he's gay.

4. Angry Wangry

Angry Wangry Janet decides to become a student so Louise arranges for Janet to meet some of her uni friends. Louise calls Donna an "Angry Wangry" so Donna speaks to her mum who tells her shes always been angry, this results in Donna trying to control her aggression. Cameron, a rich pompous student, invites Janet to perform at a poetry reading but she ends up humiliating herself. After kicking Cameron in the bollocks Jonny comforts Janet. Gaz decides that women don't fancy him now that he's got a girlfriend so shows his chest off at a disco but Donna walks in - it's a good job she's controlling her anger. Gaz is thrilled by this so tells her to wear shorter skirts so other men would be jealous while walking home along the canal. The new, relaxed Donna refrains from another angry outburst, and instead pushes him calmly into the canal.

5. Lard

Lard Janet is on a mission to be funny while her boyfriend Jonny is trying to control his lust for Louise. On a shopping trip Jonny kisses Louise but she tastes of lard; he tells Gaz he wants to tell Janet but he convinces him not to. Donna kicks Gaz out of his unhygienic flat so she can tidy it. Gaz thinks he is the 'Master of Cunning' until he comes home to find his flat a shrine to all that is pink, heart-shaped and frilly. Janet is irritating her friends with all her bad jokes so much that to shut her up Gaz blurts out that Jonny kissed Louise. Furious, Janet summons a meeting in the pub and insults each of her friends in turn. However her insults are so funny, they all crack up with laughter.

6. Ugly Babies

Ugly Babies Jonny is fed up with his dull, dull life, and wants excitement. Nothing satisfies... until Janet tells him she might be pregnant. Gaz and Donna have a communication problem: she wants to talk, he just craves sex. So when Donna starts to tell Gaz Janet's news, he thinks Donna is announcing her own pregnancy and responds as only Gaz can - by running away. Luckily Louise, determined to prove she's not insensitive, sets about putting everyone straight. Her rousing speech helps Jonny face up to his newly responsible future. Armed only with beer and unusual gifts for their partners, the boys return home... and discover that their futures may not be quite what they'd been led to believe. Janet is not pregnant and Donna has something important to tell Gaz. But Gaz runs out his flat, before Donna can say anymore...
