1. Staying Awake

It's Laurence's first day and his heavy anxiety is giving him nightmares. He still has the shame of his failed finals due to the tension pnenumothorax procedure he messed up in his practical exam.
When he gets his first patient Mr Copperfiled, a coffee salesman, he becomes convinced that he will need the operation that he failed on and it's not long before this obsession makes him a laughing stock among the rest of the staff.

2. Sectioned
 |
Laurence gets the privilege of getting to sleep on a casualty trolley having had Noble break the lock on the door to his on-call flat. At the same time he gets a new patient. An old lady called Ethel who wont answer his questions but likes to use her mouth for other things!
Laurence's attempts to impress Judy also backfire when he finds himself being sectioned under the mental health act!

3. Clean White Coat
 |
Laurence is told off by Mr.Ron for the state of his white coat because it is decorated by blood, vomit, spinal fluid and chicken korma. His hygiene is not particularly good either but a hot shower at Judy's will sort that out!
However Laurence has a few things to deal with first. To visit the "lady of linen" for a new coat, treat a priest with a stab wound and to deliver a baby.

4. Three Stars
 |
South Middlesex has lost all of its NHS stars because of bed blocking, long waiting lists and a huge queue of casualty trolleys. Laurence is set the task of sorting out the bed blockers and thus must treat a lady with a chronic leg ulcer using Maggot Debridement Therapy. So he better be sure that he uses the right maggots!
Meanwhile a little surprise is in store for Sister Hope when she receives a card from a secret admirer.

5. The Wrong Leg

Laurence is put in charge of criminal and local villain Frank Briggs who's leg amputation almost goes wrong due to Laurence's lack of knowledge of which leg to remove.

6. The Wrong Leg

Judy notices that Laurence has his eye on the new Spanish nurse Juanita. This puts an interesting twist on her feelings for him.
However what Laurence is mainly thinking about is his severely weak stomach and the fact that he can't open a vile of adrenaline.
