| Synopsis: |
Jacko, a painter, is an habitual womaniser and "cheeky chappy" from South London. He also, however, is quite soft underneath, and also has a perhaps unhealthy habit of actually, genuinely falling for the women he is chasing.
In constant battle with his boss, Lionel, Jacko (who lives with his sister and her husband - his workmate and best friend, Eric) narrowly manages to escape losing his job on many occasions. Even more narrowly, Jacko manages to keep Lionel from knowing that his daughter, Lesley, has also been a willing victim to his charms...

| BSG Review: |
Brush Strokes is not a bad sitcom, but certainly somewhat a child of its time. An interesting show and amusing show, but perhaps not a 'classic', despite its popularity at the time.
|
| Notes: |
Jacko's character gained huge popularity with female viewers, and is something which Karl Howman still plays on to ths day with his role in the long-running and successful television adverts for the 'Flash' brand of domestic cleaning products.
