| Notes: |
It is with great sadness that we must note 'Bloomers' as Richard Beckinsale's final television outing. On 19th March 1979, with no previous history of any such problems, Beckinsale suffered a heart attack and died. The day had been meant for rehersal of the final episode of this sitcom, hence the unusual run of 5 episodes rather than the normal 6.
The show itself was rather overshadowed by the tragedy, but it had great potential and featured brilliant writing and attention to detail from its writer, the well-known playwright James Saunders.
