| Synopsis: |
Sarah France, a widow of a doctor called Henry, shares her large Edwardian
detached house with her daughter, Clare and her mother, Eleanor
Prescott. All three women have to cope without Henry.

Based on a Radio 4 series, this gentle sitcom was well scripted and a hit with audiences. After Henry, despite starring Prunella Scales, isn't going to be remembered as one of the greatest sitcoms which Britain has produced though. It's not particularly ground-breaking or hugely clever, and there certainly haven't been any boundaries pushed. But it's one of those shows that you just can't help liking. Read more |
