SERIES 1 - First broadcast 20051. Episode One Davina Jackson has hit 61 but still looks great - and so does her husband of over 30 years. Having downsized from their family home, they've even got the cash for a new lifestyle. But - as a dysfunctional 30-something son Orlando and a ghostly manifestation of Davina's frustration testify - not everything is rosy. First broadcast: 10th Nov 2005 2. Episode Two A chance meeting with an old school friend prompts Davina to look back on her childhood. When her mother suffers another stroke she literally returns to her old haunts where the ghostly appearance of her imaginary friend, G.I. Johnson reminds her of a childhood when nothing could hold her back. Husband Al also confronts his past in the guise of an old flame and media grandee Sarah Thorne. First broadcast: 17th Nov 2005 3. Episode Three Al is trying to write an article on what makes a classic. When renowned author Robert Ringwald flies in from America to judge a book prize and sets eyes on Davina, he tells Al to look no further because Davina is an absolute classic. Being a man used to getting what he wants, Ringwald sets out to seduce Davina. It almost works until Dr Cass, an opportunistic private doctor, discovers a brand new streak of hypochondria in Ringwald. First broadcast: 24th Nov 2005 4. Episode Four When Roger fires his piano teacher Greg for making eyes at his wife, Davina is shocked, thinking he's only done it to show his more general contempt for artists. Consequently, she employs Greg to give lessons to her husband Al. But when Greg starts making eyes at her behind Al's back, she realises that there are a whole new set of lessons that she might want to learn. First broadcast: 1st Dec 2005 5. Episode Five Davina is worried that her brother-in-law Roger is wanting to start an affair with her. It's only after the unexpected arrival of Roger's son Michael and the liberal use of a class C narcotic, that the true nature of Roger's desires are revealed. First broadcast: 8th Dec 2005 6. Episode Six Al is losing everything. First it's his car radio, then it's his newspaper column, and finally it's his wife. But even after all that, there's a still greater loss to come.
