SERIES 3 - First broadcast 19771. A Storm In A Teacup Harris has stolen some pills from the Medical Officer, but manages to dispose of them when MacKay points the finger of suspicion at him. Grouty is concerned that the theft will lift the lid on his pill-peddling business, so he ropes in Fletcher to replace the pills. Where will Fletcher find pills from before the end of the lunch hour? First broadcast: 18th Feb 1977 2. Poetic Justice An old acquaintance of Fletcher's becomes the third occupant of the cell - the judge who sentenced him to five years. Initial resentment fades, and Fletcher decides that an old school friend of the Governor's could prove very useful. However, not all his fellow prisoners are as enlightened. First broadcast: 25th Feb 1977 3. Rough Justice Judge Rawley appears to be settling into life on remand, but a theft shows old prejudices haven't entirely been left behind. Fletch and his fellow prisoners soon learn that fair application of the law doesn't always give consistent results. First broadcast: 4th Mar 1977 4. Pardon Me Blanco's parole hearing is imminent and it looks like he will be successful, but he's not happy. Convicted of killing his wife, he's always denied he committed the crime. Why should he accept the parole board's decision that he's done his time and paid his penance when he's innocent? First broadcast: 11th Mar 1977 5. A Test of Character Godber's History O-level exams are a few days away, but Fletch can't see the point of studying. Following a dressing-down from MacKay, Fletcher relents, and enlists the help of Warren and McLaren to steal the exam papers - if Godber is so determined to pass this exam, Fletcher's going to make sure he's well prepared before he enters the exam room. First broadcast: 18th Mar 1977 6. Final Stretch Godber's case is coming up before the parole board, and with his clean record and his O-levels, he's sure to sail through it, unless his feud with Jarvis - all brawn but little brain - escalates. Can he turn the other cheek, or has a man got to do what a man's got to do? First broadcast: 25th Mar 1977 |
