| BSG Review: |
A funny show which allows the comedic talents of Jim Broadbent to shine through. The script is well thought out and draws attention to the lighter side of an otherwise rather dour environment (the bank branch) however it should be noted some criticism was leveled at the predictability of the comedy.
"The Peter Principle" (known as "The Boss" outside of the UK) sadly suffered from repeated cast changes between the very spaced out series (the pilot was in 1995, series one didn't follow until 1997 and the second was another two year wait). It probably could have run for more series but was ultimately terminated by Jim Broadbent's success on the big screen, starring in films such as "The Borrowers", "Bridget Jones's Diary"" and ""Gangs of New York" certainly left no spare time to film a small British sitcom.
