Add your review Munch - "Not Given A Chance" I really liked The Magoons - the car journeys with all four singing and bickering were perfect little vignettes. I think this could've developed into something really good if given a chance. Written by Munch, 30th Sept 2006 Daniel O'Rourke - "Brilliant Comedy" This is a brilliant comedy that has been slaughtered by the critics, which is very unfair, it has some hilarious moments and will always be one of my personal favourites. Written by Daniel O'Rourke, 23rd Feb 2006 Tripitacha - "Dreadful" I thought "Meet the Magoons" was the most terrible British comedy since "Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps". One of the episodes: buying new tables and taking the old ones away before the new ones arrive... Hmmm... I wonder where the "jokes" for the last 15 minutes will be derived from. The problem is, that the jokes are far too childish and simple, taking too much reliance on the "oh, they're asian, therefore these basic, done-to-death jokes will be funny again". It all ends up far too immature and dull for anyone over 15. BUT also, too much heinously unnecessary swearing (because they think that's also funny), and homophobia, make it too grown up for anyone under 14! It's just a disgrace, Channel 4 obviously didn't watch it closely enough, giving it such a generous Friday night slot. Written by Tripitacha, 4th Sept 2005 |
