| BSG Review: |
"The League of Gentlemen" is very different from
any other British sitcom. Its unique brand of twisted, sickening,
dark humour is unlike anything else we have seen. In addition,
all the main roles are played by just three different actors (in
varying amounts of makeup).
The League of Gentlemen is definitely funny, but
in a very bleak, twisted way. It's un-doubtably successful;
in just three series it managed to thrust a number of classic
characters and catch-phrases onto the unprepared public and what other sitcom in the last decade has managed to spawn a feature length film? |
