Joking Apart is getting this long-overdue new lease of life thanks to a remarkable fan of the series. Frustrated by the BBC's apparent lack of interest, he decided to have a go and try and buy the rights to release the DVD himself and against the odds, he succeeded and launched the Replay label on the back of it.

As these new DVDs are a product of a dedicated fan, the attention to detail is amazing. Not surprisingly, there are specially produced extras too, including a making of featurette and very entertaining commentaries by Steven Moffat, Robert Bathurst, Fiona Gillies and Tracie Bennett.
