SERIES 1 - First broadcast 2006
1. A Gift From the Glish
Commander Henderson is at the helm of the ship and determined to persuade an alien race called The Glish that the Peterborough Enterprise Zone would be the ideal location for them. But the meeting doesn’t go as planned and Henderson and his crew are under increasing pressure to find new clients. And none of this is helped by the fact that there is a lethal, man-eating parasite loose on the ship!
First broadcast: 11th Jan 2006
2. Hello, Queppu
Henderson, York and Teal have arranged a meeting with the new planet of Queppu. The alien residents of Queppu haven’t had any contact with the human race for some time and are excited at the prospect. Henderson’s first rule, never to get romantically involved with a beautiful princess, is one which he breaks within moments of meeting the King’s daughter who he quickly falls in love with. This leaves Teal deeply jealous and consequently their mission doesn’t go to plan.
Meanwhile, the ship has been left in sole charge of Technical Officer Jeffers, who takes the HMS Camden Lock for a spin!
First broadcast: 18th Jan 2006
3. Weekend Off
Everyone on the Camden Lock has been given the whole weekend off to mark Gary Neville Day - the holiday where the twenty first century footballer and inventor of artificial gravity is celebrated.
Meanwhile Vine has bought an entire planet in an internet auction. His initial excitement quickly wears off when he discovers that the planet appears to be a useless, poisonous ball of clay! But he still insists it is a bargain. And Teal is looking forward to dining with Henderson at the Officers’ Dinner - perhaps a little bit too much.
First broadcast: 25th Jan 2006
4. Asteroid
HMS Camden Lock hosts delicate peace talks between two feuding alien species. However, when Henderson tries to speed up the process, his ham-fisted approach leads the two parties to unite and declare war on Britain. With Starbase unwilling to send back-up, the spaceship confronts 900 enemy craft!
First broadcast: 1st Feb 2006
5. Clare
While hunting for drug smugglers, the ship crosses paths with Clare Winchester, the famous round-the-galaxy solo spacewoman. Concerned that she might have gone a bit mad, and excited by the thought of meeting a real celebrity, Henderson drops in for an ill-advised visit. Things aren't made easier when the ship's cyborg pilot Sandstrom picks up a computer virus.
First broadcast: 8th Feb 2006
6. Assessment
A full-scale riot breaks out when the crew of HMS Camden Lock fail a routine psychological test and, in despair, Henderson hands command to York. Meanwhile, wise aliens offer Vine the chance to become an immortal galactic supreme being.
