| Synopsis: |
Set in the 1950s, Jeffrey Fairbrother takes a job as entertainment
manager at Maplins Holiday Camp where the guests are the last
thing on the mind of the staff. Whilst "in charge"
he attracts the amorous attentions of funny Welsh-talking Gladys
Pugh, the Chief yellow coat. Meanwhile Ted Bovis, the camp comic,
runs the show whilst Peggy, the cleaner, aspires to become a
yellow coat. |
| BSG Review: |
Although some of the comedy has dated, the well defined characters
are still as funny today as they were when they first appeared
in the 80s. |
