1. Just My Bill

Tom has had an idea to sell his and Barbara's fruit and vegetables to a restaurant manager, but the idea turns out not to be as simple as he first imagined.

2. The Guru of Surbiton

When Barbara and Tom take on a male and female student to help them with the farming, Tom becomes their guru. They also say they want to buy the house next door to theirs, which makes Margo panic. Thankfully, they change their minds when Ruth, the female student, confesses that she fancies Tom.

First broadcast: 12th Dec 1975


3. Mr. Fix-It

Being interested in the Goods' lifestyle, a newspaper reporter comes to interview and photograph Barbara and Tom. Wanting her moment in the limelight, Margo tries to get her name mentioned in the article.

4. The Day Peace Broke Out

When leeks go missing in the Goods' garden, Tom decides to take the matter into his own hands by shooting the thief with an airgun pellet! He gets in trouble though, when he's given a court order and a prison sentence!

First broadcast: 2nd Jan 1976


5. Mutiny

Margo is in a panic about how well the Music society's production of “The Sound of Music” is going to go. Jerry also has worries of his own when he tells his boss that his friends cannot stay over at their house because Margo has her musical production and nearly loses his job!

6. Home Sweet Home

When Tom and Barbara are shown round a bigger house with acres of land, Tom decides that they should sell their home and move, but Barbara is not quite in agreement.

First broadcast: 16th Jan 1976


7. Going to Pot

To try and improve their self-sufficiency idea, the Goods go to a night school to learn new skills such as weaving. Meanwhile, Margo has her own ordeal at her pottery class!

First broadcast: 23rd Jan 1976
