| Synopsis: |
"The Good Life", or "Good Neighbors"
as it is called in America, follows the lives of two happily
married couples who live next door to each other. Tom and Barbara
Good attempt to live completely self-sufficient lives (e.g.
they make stinging nettle soup), something which is quite hard
considering they live in the suburbs. Their very conservative
neighbours, Jerry and Margo Ledbetter, look on, horrified at
their bold experiment. |
| BCG Review: |
"The Good Life" is a slow, gentle sitcom which brings
a smile to the face. First aired in the mid-70s it has since been repeated many times as it
is a showcase of fine classic comedy. It was named one of the
"top ten British sitcoms ever"
not too long ago - this should give you an idea of how popular and fondly
remembered it is. |
