| BSG Review: |
"Going Straight" lasted just one series and is
now hardly remembered. Many blame the lack of success on the sitcom being unfairly compared with its predecessor, the hugely
successful "Porridge". To be honest the weakness probably was down to the fact it wasn't so appealing
to watch Fletcher as he was no-longer in the confines of the jail environment. A second series was never really a consideration as star Richard Beckinsale sadly died shortly after the first series ended.
