1992 isn't a particularly good year for Victor and Margaret. Being burgled is just the start of their problems - Margaret goes missing, their neighbours house is flooded thanks to Victor, Mr Swainey kindly gives them a cursed present and they get stuck in a traffic jam with Mrs Warboys on board.

The war between Patrick and Victor is in full swing. Meanwhile plenty of nasty surprises are building up including a troublesome magician's meeting, 101 illnesses for Victor (well, in his mind) and a man called Ben whom Margaret met on holiday. In the Christmas special the Meldrew's have a horrific holiday in Portugal.

Victor probably wished he could have skipped 1995. It didn't start off well what with Mrs Warboys coming to stay whilst her flat is repaired. Series 6

Victor was back in the millennium for one final series. It was certainly eventful what with summer power cuts, a house cleaner, medical tests and Patrick's brother all causing problems. These were nothing though compared to the fate which befalls Victor outside a pub.
