| BSG Review: |
This was heavily slated at the time, coming as it did on the heels of The Young Ones. It proved to be too tall an order. While funny in places, it never captured quite the same thrill as The Young Ones did.
Filthy, Rich and Catflap is still genuinely entertaining at times and for fans of Rik/Ade (and because of the relatively cheap price of the DVD) it can't be missed. This sitcom also stands as an interesting precursor to the far superior Bottom in terms of the stars establishing their own brand of slapstick. There are elements of The Dangerous Brothers, the Rik/Ade creation from Saturday Night Live in this show as well. |
