Background artist Andy Millman finally gets his big break and prepares to make his own sitcom for the BBC, but soon learns the Corporation has very different ideas.
Meanwhile Maggie rejects Orlando Bloom's advances.

David Bowie offers some home truths to Andy as he finally realises his dream of TV success. However, it is soon apparent to the former background artist that fame comes at a price and he is devastated to learn that stardom isn't quite how he expected it to be.

Rising sitcom star Andy Millman realises he won't go very far in showbiz if he doesn't get on the right side of the Press. He decides to enlist the help of a PR guru - but unfortunately agent Darren Lamb is the only one willing to take on the role. Guest starring Harry Potter's Daniel Radcliffe.

An unprecedented array of stars turn out for Andy Millman's first BAFTA nomination. Awards, great ratings and Chris Martin from Coldplay wants to appear in "When the Whistle Blows" - things are looking up for Andy... that is until his agent manages to get him blamed for interrupting an obituary speech made by Richard Briers and implicated for taking drugs with Ronnie Corbett.

In pursuit of credibility Andy takes a role in a play directed by Ian McKellen, a two-hander called A Month of Summers. If only his agent had told him it was about gay lovers!

Episode 6
Andy appears to have lost his down-to-earth personality when he decides to fire long-time agent Darren, and Maggie is hurt when he starts to leave her behind in favour of spending more time with his new celebrity friend Jonathan Ross. Andy also gets to see another side to British TV star Robert Lindsay and meet a rather famous Hollywood actor.
