Synopsis:

Dogtown tells the quirky, bizarre and offbeat story of the goings-on in Horton-Le-Hole, a fictional coastal town where things are not all they seem.

Housewives secretly role-play as Olympic champions, a socially inept geography teacher dreams of being deputy head, a pyromaniac psychic dwarf reads palms at a bus stop, and romance books are being defaced in the local library (but by whom?).

BSG Review:

Dogtown is a mixed bag... it's funny in places but overall it inevitably compares badly to the somewhat similar quirky show "The League of Gentlemen" (although Dogtown isn't quite as dark).

Bill Taddler is an interesting character and the way the staff at Horton-le-Hole library go about their jobs as if they were protecting the security of our nation rather than just a couple of books (the most valuable book in the library is a handbook on Pitbulls) gave us a good laugh. Some of it just plain isn't funny though.

In summary: it was good in places but overall Dogtown doesn't quite add up to a great comedy - there's just not enough funny lines etc in our opinion.
