Looking to collaborate:
Right... well I am a sketch writer for topical satire shows Tilt (BBC 7) and Watson's Wind-up (BBC Scotland) and I've written for other radio and stage show comedies. I was also a finalist in the Baby Cow/4Laughs sketch challenge 2007. I've written comedy pieces for the National Press and my work for a popular football satire website has been featured in The Observer, Daily Star, a book as well as a number of magazines and I've been interviewed on BBC radio. Currently finishing off my first sitcom pilot with a second one outlined and a third in mind. I have two different sketch shows... Kevin Kennie
Looking to collaborate:
Hi I'm Kevin, an unemployed archaeologist and ex psychiatric nurse. I'm 42, and live with my Partner in Glasgow with two grown up children. I have been doing stand up, occasionally for quite a few years now. By occasionally I mean once or twice a year, it's fun but I don't know if that's what I really want to do, I'd lie to do some sketches preferably rather than straight stand up. My influences are mostly British, I can go back to the Goons, who are a great favourite, Python, of course, up to Stand ups like Bill Hicks; the greatest, Connelly, Eddie Izzard, Dylan Moran and many others. I... Chris Frost
Looking to collaborate:
I am Chris Frost, and I've been writing comedy since 2005. I recently began submitting material to both Newsrevue and The Treason Show. In 2006, I was a runner-up in a 4Laughs send-a-sketch competition about reality TV, and since then I have proceeded to have success in other 4Laughs competitions. Presently, I am close to completing the pilot script to a sketch show which I've been working on, and I'm also in the process developing a sitcom idea. Some of my older material can be viewed here. Lester Reichert
Looking to collaborate:
I am an american living in Sweden. I write comedy sketches and love every second of it. Looking to become a professional writer so I can quit my dayjob as a maintenance man. I've always been the guy in my group that makes the others laugh. And since I started writing down the bizarre goings on in my head I've been able to make even more people pee their pants from laughter. I never thought that making a grown man pee his pants could be so gratifying and flattering. In the future I hope to make millions of people pee their pants and make a killing as the spokesperson for adult diapers. Mark McAndrew
Looking to collaborate:
Sci-fi/fantasy is the world’s favourite genre. Hobbits, lightsabers, wizard schools, extra-terrestrials, superheroes, vampires and high-kicking teenagers are behind the best-selling books, the most-watched TV series and highest-grossing films of all time. Only one gap remains in the market. There has been plenty of successful comedy sci-fi, but hardly any fantasy. Where are the psychotic hobbits, megalomaniac warriors, drug-addled wizards and truly poncy Elves? Stuck in The Tower, of course. One of each, in fact, trapped in a dead wizard’s laboratory - the magic of the place ensuring... Matthew Stott
Looking to collaborate:

I have also contributed material to several TV sketch show pilots, though so far none have made it to a series. Im constantly looking for opportunities to show what I can do and currently have several sitcoms and sketch shows being looked at by production companies. I can write in a wide variety of styles, so if you're looking for a funny writer, then please get in touch! Phillip Barron

Looking to collaborate:
I'm Mana. I am currently co-writing a sitcom with my friend. We have just started sending the pilot out to production companies. I used to want to be a stand-up, and have written some, but I've since realised that stand-up isn't really my "thing" and I prefer writing sitcoms. I am 14 at the moment, so one of the younger (possibly youngest?) comedy writers, but I couldn't sit around doing nothing until I'm 30 (even though I have the experience required to sit around doing nothing. I spend a lot of time on the internet...) My favourite comedies are The Mighty Boosh (I'm a... Keith Rees

I've once came runner-up in Channel 4's "Send-a-Sketch" competition on their 4Laughs website. I was also chairman of the University of Teesside Comedy Society. You can visit our Youtube page here. Looking to collaborate:
I am a sketch & comedy writer having written for BBC radio shows including Watson's Wind-up and Parsons and Naylor's Pull-out Sections. I have also had material performed by Newsrevue. I have completed two 90 minute comedy drama screenplays and one of these was picked up for development by a production company a while ago but in the end they couldn't secure funding for the project. My influences are as diverse as Flann O'Brien, PG Wodehouse & Clement and LaFrenais. Hil Jennings
Looking to collaborate:
Began writing at 44 and tried Channel 4's 4laughs comedy ladder, finishing 2nd. Love creating audio and seeing live shows and stand-up. Sketches and one-liners more my thing but have been coaxed to venture beyond a third page. Influences too numerous to mention but anything witty or insane. Some feedback: 'His submissions never fail to bring a smile to our faces'- 4laughs team 'you crack me up! Hooorah! for midgetgems comedy space' 'I am impressed with what you sent ... I laughed a lot'- AD 'Your writing is of a very high standard'- MB '... good, and funny too' - CG 'We like your... Rebecca Davies
Looking to collaborate:
Right, well, I am a student. A student, between Universities. Due to personal, yet boring, reasons, I was forced to leave UCL and move to Sussex (nearer to home). Rather than waste away, in front of the television (or as I like to call it, researching) waiting for the academic year to begin, I decided to attend a writing class. I always presumed writing would be a part of my future in one way or another, so felt this was a productive way to spend my evenings. After ten weeks of being told what to write, every rebellious bone in my body was screaming to get started on something that was... Baumski aka Martin Baum
Looking to collaborate:
My book: 'To Be or Not To Be - A Yoof-speak Guide to Shakespeare' has now been added to Waterstone's core catalogue and will shortly be available in Waterstone's stores nationwide. To find out more about the book please go to: www.yoofspeak.net But as for other writing, well, the nearest I got to having anything produced was a sketch show with a production company of some note. Although initially it looked promising and was asked to write a pilot unfortunately, if not kind of predictably, it failed to go the distance. However, in addition to a couple of credits for Huddlines and... Alan Stafford
Looking to collaborate:
I’ve scripted comedy drama, documentaries, sketches and gags for performers such as Jimmy Carr, Punt & Dennis, Bill Nighy, Jenny Eclair, Rory Bremner, Morwenna Banks, Tony Hawks and Griff Rhys Jones. My topical news gags are featured in the current series of ITV1's Headcases. My radio play: Henry's Girls, starring Robert Glenister (Hustle), Naoko Mori (Torchwood), Robert Duncan and Chloe Annett was broadcast last May on Radio 4. "A play full of music and delight" (Susan Jeffreys, Daily Mail). I’ve been a commissioned sketch writer on 6 series of both Punt & Dennis: It’s Been A Bad... James L Williams

I am a first-class English graduate with a postgraduate NCTJ journalism qualification. I was the president of my theatre society at university and enjoy all the performing arts as well as writing; I have played Richard III in a production at Leicester Cathedral. I have written a number of sketches and am in the process of filming my work so that it can reach a wider audience. One example of a draft idea can be found here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=pKEgqo8iJzs I write for Newsrevue and the Treason Show on a casual basis and generally have a number of topical sketches performed in... Dan Sweryt
Looking to collaborate:
Hi I'm Dan Always been interested in writing and found an evening comedy sketch writing course/group running in Richmond. It lasted all year and we wrote sketches and sitcoms and had them acted out by a college's drama groups. I wrote five sketches (people laughed) for a half-hour sketch show, 10 minutes of an existing sitcom -- One Foot In The Grave -- (people laughed) and finally a pilot of an original sitcom (people laughed, and me(!) despite the fact that after 200 read throughs/rewrites I didn't think it was funny any more!) I've entered sketches for opportunities (Parsons &... Kelvin Dickinson
Looking to collaborate:
If you can read, I can write. League of Gentlemen, I'm Alan Partridge, Lead Balloon, stuff like that. Nighty Night, Saxondale, even Hyperdrive - it's some (but by no means all) of the kinds of comedy that inspires me to put finger to keyboard...which has resulted in some good material over several years. I even got close, via some on-spec sketches, to 'Alistair McGowan's Big Impression'. How close, you can ask him yourself, care of VERA Prods. Most recently I've had interest from Martin Jarvis's production company. Let's see what happens. I'm good with dialogue and can shift mood and... |
