Following the successful release of the fantastic Stella Street Series 1, Universal Playback is delighted to announce the DVD release of Stella Street Series 2 on 13 August 2007.
Stella Street the hilarious groundbreaking show of impersonations that with its new ten-minute format paved the way for many great British comedies. It was first screened in January 1997 on the BBC to great acclaim.
Written and directed by Peter Richardson (Comic Strip Presents, Not The Nine O'Clock News) the second series will be released courtesy of Universal Playback on 13 August 2007.
Set in a suburban street in Surbiton, Surrey it stars the talented comedy actors Phil Cornwell (Comic Strip Presents, Alan Partridge, World Of Pub), John Sessions (Good Shepherd, Absolute Power) and Ronni Acona (Big Impression, A Cock And Bull Story) as the whole host of super stars, who have taken up residence in the same neighbourhood.
The famous faces include actors (James Stewart, Dirk Bogarde, Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Dustin Hoffman) singers (Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, David Bowie, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Madonna) soap characters (Phil and Grant Mitchell) and even royalty (Princess Margaret).
