The blunt, straight-talking Northern lass Nellie makes a triumphant return in Not On Your Nellie Series 2 & 3. This 2 disc set has just been released by Network.
Nellie (played by Hylda Baker) is back in this successful spin-off from the immensely popular Nearest and Dearest series. Not On Your Nellie sees Nellie's arrival in London in order to look after her ailing father. Little has she anticipated at the time, that she is going to have to oversee the running of his pub - The Brown Cow - too!
For a teetotaller like Nellie who cannot abide drink, this situation is grimly unbearable; besides which the Brown Cow pub crowd is a bit of a handful! There is the wide boy Charlie, London Underground worker Ali and the gay couple who run a fashion store, George and Gilbert.
This new DVD boxset contains both the second and third series. The latter was cut short due to an ankle injury to Hylda Baker during filming.
