Available on DVD for the first time, Joking Apart is the stylish and painfully-funny BBC comedy that was Steven Moffat's forerunner to Coupling.
Inspired by the writer's own divorce, this award-winning series charts the break-up of comedy-writer Mark Taylor and his adulterous wife, Becky. Obsessed with winning back his spouse, Mark stumbles from one disaster to another as his life disintegrates in farcical fashion. It might not sound the most obvious topic for humour, but viewers complained of laughing until they hurt, and then some!
Extras include highly-entertaining commentaries with Moffat and stars of the show, Robert Bathurst, Fiona Gillies and Tracie Bennett, plus a backgrounder featuring interviews with the same quartet.
