Proving that there's more to hospitals than just disinfectant and dysentery, Green Wing takes an altogether unconventional view of the health service. Produced by the team behind Smack the Pony, the show is more concerned with the antics of its dysfunctional characters than with actual medical issues (think of an NHS version of Scrubs, but with more emphasis on the comedy element).
On the 15th October 2007 4DVD released the definitive 8 disc Green Wing Collectors' Edition boxset. It's in shops now.
The boxset contains all nine episodes from the first series and all eight episodes from the second series, as well as the final 90 minute special too. If that wasn't enough there's hours and hours of bonus features! Deleted scenes; audio commentary from the cast and crew; behind-the-scenes featurettes; out-takes and much more. This new boxset also contains the much-sought-after new bonus disc which contains a documentary about the fans of the show, new never-seen-before deleted scenes and also some Green Wing music tracks.
