The complete fifth series of "Drop the Dead Donkey" has just been released on DVD. It features all 12 episodes from the 5th season of this topical multi-award winning TV comedy show which was set in the offices of 'Globelink News', a TV news station whose millionaire tycoon owner prefers a more sensationalist stance in presenting the day's events. This penultimate 1996 series is one of the best seasons of this topical sitcom in our opinion. As usual, the Globelink newsroom is a frenzied den of devious scheming and vindictive gossip, only occasionally interrupted by an inconvenient news story. Sally's old age pension advert backfires, Damien struggles to stay awake interviewing John Major, Henry's newspaper column cause trouble in the office and... could it be true... Dave is dating Princess Diana!?! |
