BCG Review:

Chris Barrie (of "Red Dwarf" fame) is excellent in this good, aimed at the masses, British sitcom. Despite being highly memorable thanks to some great plots (including the public footpath through the women's toilets) "The Brittas Empire" has never quite got the praise or repeats many say it deserves.

It was probably a mistake to bring back the sitcom for a final two series in 1996 as the show had naturally ended at the end of series 5 (Brittas was killed off). The result being two messy, un-realistic and below par final series.
