SERIES 4 - First broadcast 20031. Honeymoon Ted surprises Barbara by taking her back to the scene of their honeymoon for a romantic break, to find everything unchanged since their first visit. First broadcast: 23rd Feb 2003 2. Neighbours With less than a week until Christmas, Ted is bemoaning the pitiful amount of cards received at the Liversidge house – a grand total of one. Barbara, however, is preoccupied with finding out more about the new next-door neighbours, particularly when her Christmas tree goes missing... First broadcast: 2nd March 2003 3. Guy Fawkes Barbara and Ted are planning a fireworks party for Bonfire Night, and decide to invite recently-widowed Frank to enjoy the festivities with them. However, Linda’s present to her father looks likely to cause a major rift in her parents’ marriage. First broadcast: 9th March 2003 4. Kirsty Neil’s long string of oddball girlfriends could have finally come to an end in the shape of Kirsty, the girl of his dreams. However, once she meets Neil’s family, it seems their wedding plans face a hefty obstacle… and for once it isn’t Barbara. First broadcast: 16th March 2003 5. Cottage In an astonishingly rare display of thoughtfulness, Ted arranges a weekend away in a country cottage to celebrate Barbara’s sixtieth birthday. But with Jean, Phil, Neil, Doreen, Martin and Linda joining them on the trip, the problems begin as soon as they set off. First broadcast: 28th March 2003 6. Who Shot Barbara? Barbara lies in hospital in a critical condition following an attempt on her life. But what could possibly have happened in the last twenty-four hours to compel someone to shoot her?
