1. Honeymoon

Ted surprises Barbara by taking her back to the scene of their honeymoon for a romantic break, to find everything unchanged since their first visit.

2. Neighbours

With less than a week until Christmas, Ted is bemoaning the pitiful amount of cards received at the Liversidge house – a grand total of one. Barbara, however, is preoccupied with finding out more about the new next-door neighbours, particularly when her Christmas tree goes missing...

3. Guy Fawkes

Barbara and Ted are planning a fireworks party for Bonfire Night, and decide to invite recently-widowed Frank to enjoy the festivities with them. However, Linda’s present to her father looks likely to cause a major rift in her parents’ marriage.

4. Kirsty

Neil’s long string of oddball girlfriends could have finally come to an end in the shape of Kirsty, the girl of his dreams. However, once she meets Neil’s family, it seems their wedding plans face a hefty obstacle… and for once it isn’t Barbara.

5. Cottage

In an astonishingly rare display of thoughtfulness, Ted arranges a weekend away in a country cottage to celebrate Barbara’s sixtieth birthday. But with Jean, Phil, Neil, Doreen, Martin and Linda joining them on the trip, the problems begin as soon as they set off.
