SERIES 2 - First broadcast 20001. Kids After attending the funeral of a very active acquaintance, Ted becomes concerned over the lack of adventure in his life. His solution, therefore, is to persuade Barbara to accompany him on a parachute jump. First broadcast: 24th Nov 2000 2. Massage With Barbara incapacitated after putting her back out, Ted enlists the help of Mrs. Gibbs – a notoriously weird local woman – with the everyday chores. Meanwhile, Linda is concerned for the state of her marriage. First broadcast: 1st Dec 2000 3. Mum When Ted’s elderly mother escapes from her retirement home, Barbara is filled with dread at the thought of her impending visit. First broadcast: 8th Dec 2000 4. Christening On the occasion of Baby George’s christening, Linda is determined everything will be perfect. However, there are problems aplenty, particularly with Martin’s parents on the guest list. First broadcast: 15th Dec 2000 5. Tyres Ted is excited at the prospect of appearing on television when his friend Brian selects him as a candidate for his ‘phone-a-friend’ lifeline on the quiz show, ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’. First broadcast: 22nd Dec 2000 6. Fox While the Ponds are having difficulty letting Barbara know that they will not require her child-minding services when Linda returns to work, Jean is in a dilemma over Phil, Neil is looking forward to an encounter with a girl, and Ted is chosen to stand in as a mascot at a football match, wearing a fox costume. First broadcast: 24th Dec 2000 7. Sisters With Doreen on holiday, Barbara asks Jean to stand in for her at work. But while Jean proves popular with the patients, she fails to make a favourable impression with her sister. Meanwhile, the Ponds are also having trouble at work, with Martin at war with a German exchange party and Linda’s boss embarking on an affair with Neil. First broadcast: 23rd March 2001 8. Mate Ted is spending a great deal of time with his new friend, Vernon, and Barbara is concerned that her marriage is suffering as a result. However, getting rid of Vernon is no easy task... First broadcast: 30th March 2001 9. Wedding Jean and Phil’s wedding day is drawing close and Barbara is not relishing the prospect of having to attend Jean’s inevitably bawdy hen party. But she soon has more important matters on her mind when Ted bumps into an old flame. First broadcast: 6th April 2001 10. Sheep Barbara’s world is in turmoil. Neil has left home; Ted is feeling traumatised by his bout of disturbing nightmares; Phil’s recurrent back problems are causing Jean much embarrassment; Doreen is trying to conceive a child; and Martin is upset to discover that Linda regards him as a joke.
