Synopsis:

In the first series (entitled "Knowing Me, Knowing You") Alan Partridge is an insincere and skill-less chat show host. Partridge frequently demonstrated his insecurities and total lack of knowledge about his guests' lives during each "broadcast". The follow-up series observes Partridge as he tries to rebuild his career by hosting a local radio show. Despite being a total loser Alan is still under the impression he is a major media star.

BSG Review:

The Alan Partridge character, played so well by Coogan, is one of the most embarrassing but at the same time funny sitcom characters created. The first and second series were a joy to watch however many consider the latest third series a let down on the previous two. Both I'm Alan Partridge and Knowing Me, Knowing You are well worth watching if you haven't seen them yet.

Notes: After a brief appearance as Alan Partridge on Comic Relief Steve Coogan indicated he wanted to put his radio and TV character on the silver screen. The plans for an Alan Partridge film were quietly dropped in the wake of the London Bombings though as the plot would have seen Alan getting entangled with al-Qa'ida in a terrorist plot.
